Anonymous asked: I'm bullied by my family. I've been bullied all my life, mostly by my peers, but my family does it too. We have a thing on facebook for the upcoming family reunion and I made a post about how I won't be joining because I don't want to be reduced to tears. My mom threw a fit because "it's in the past", but this has happened every reunion since I was 8 (I'm now 22). I'm bullied for my life choices, my sexuality, and numerous other reasons. What should I do if I go to the next reunion?

I know this may not be the most logical solution…and probably very risky..but I would stand up for myself if I were in your shoes…since you were 8!! I seriously don’t know how you did that!! You have been quiet for too long..you need to find a way to stand up for yourself without causing drama in the family….you need to say something that won’t hurt them but will shut then up for good …I’m not to good with clever speeches and comebacks but you could probably ask a fiend to help you on that..also..if you do go to the reunion..be strong…don’t give in to their words…show them that they have no affect on you and they’ll hopefully give up :) hope that helps
